In the days leading up to Joe Jonas filing for divorce, Sophie Turner had a great time with friends and castmates at a wrap party in the U.K.
On Tuesday, Jonas, 34, filed for divorce from his wife of four years in Miami.
According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the filing stated that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”
Just three days prior, Turner, 27, was seen at Birmingham bar Dropshot in the U.K., celebrating what bar manager Hezron Stephenson described as a “wrap party” for the Birmingham portion of filming her new ITV show, Joan.
Stephenson, 28, mentioned that Turner was down to earth and arrived at the private event between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. She seemed to be in high spirits, wearing a floral dress and spending time with her castmates and friends.
Turner and her pals enjoyed playing beer pong and pool at the venue, and some even sang karaoke, although Turner did not participate.
According to Stephenson, Turner was very chill, sweet, and down to earth.
At one point, she even paid for a round of shots and complimented him on making the best mojito she had ever had.
During their conversation, Stephenson and Turner talked about mutual friends who attended the same school as the actress, who grew up in a nearby town in Warwickshire.
The night ended with Turner dancing to Eminem before the party wrapped up around 2 a.m.
The news of Turner’s enjoyable weekend outing comes shortly after the former couple released a statement about their divorce.
In an Instagram post shared by both Jonas and Turner, they announced their decision to amicably end their marriage after four years.
Speculation about their separation began after it was reported that Jonas had hired a divorce lawyer over the weekend.
An insider revealed that the couple had spent the entire summer apart, although they were not officially separated.
Despite their differences and living separate lives for months, Jonas and Turner hope to resolve their issues amicably.
The divorce filing also included a summons against Turner, giving her 20 days to respond to the lawsuit.
According to documents, both of their daughters, Willa, 3, and D.J., who was born in July 2022, are currently residing with their father.
Turner and Jonas tied the knot in 2019 after dating for nearly three years.
They had two wedding ceremonies, one in Las Vegas and another in France.
The couple has remained private about their marriage and their children.
In a previous interview, Jonas explained that keeping their personal life private allowed him to have something just for himself, which ultimately made him a better person.
