Tom Cruise: An Unveiling of Denture Speculations after a Tooth Mishap with Kids
Actor and prominent figure in the Church of Scientology, Tom Cruise, is facing speculations about wearing dentures after his front teeth were knocked out by one of his children.
This revelation was brought to light in a captivating docuseries.
Renowned New York Post gossip columnist, Cindy Adams, takes center stage in Showtime's docuseries titled ‘Gossip'.
This four-part series delves into the rise of tabloid media and the ruthless individuals who fueled the industry.
It explores the ascension of Rupert Murdoch and America's insatiable hunger for scandalous news.
Money, power, s**, and fame become fair game as celebrity scoops and society scandals become mainstream, where every column inch holds the potential to destroy reputations or even shape the outcome of an election.
Airing from August 22 to September 12, the series features interviews with Col Allan, the former editor-in-chief of the New York Post, who revealed the incident involving Tom Cruise.
Allan reminisced about a time during Cruise's early relationship with Katie Holmes when the couple aimed to establish themselves in New York after moving to Brooklyn.
Cruise, determined to stay out of Page Six, requested a dinner meeting.
The two met at Circo, a restaurant on 54th street, to discuss the actor's aspirations.
Allan recalled, “We sat in a corner and he actually ordered a bottle of red wine, which I thought was surprising because he was a Scientologist and they generally don't drink.”
As they conversed, Cruise unexpectedly lost both of his front teeth, causing them to fall onto the tablecloth in front of Allan.
The journalist was left speechless, unable to comprehend the situation.
He remarked, “I mean, this is a face that's on posters all over the world, a good-looking guy, and there are his front teeth.”
Cruise attributed the incident to a playful moment with his children, Isabella and Connor, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
One of their heels accidentally struck him in the mouth, causing his teeth to be dislodged.
After searching for his teeth, Cruise simply popped them back into place.
Allan described the scene as uncomfortable.
Later on, Allan confided in Adams about the incident, igniting her eagerness to cover the “delicious” story.
However, Allan had promised Cruise that he wouldn't publish it.
He recounted, “I made the mistake of telling Cindy, who you know [said], ‘Oh my god that's great, I'm gonna write that,'” but he firmly refused.
Thus, the story remained unpublished until now.
Reports indicate that in the 1980s, Cruise dealt with discolored and misaligned teeth.
Allegedly, he initially resolved these issues through teeth whitening and alignment procedures.
Recently, Cruise's appearance caught attention when he was seen at a baseball game with his son Connor.
Critics body-shamed the ‘Top Gun' actor for his “pudgy face”.
Photos of Cruise at Game 2 of the National League Division Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants on October 10 sparked online discussions about his changing appearance.
