Regina Simons, an extra in Steven Seagal’s 1994 film “On Deadly Ground,” has come forward with allegations of rape against the well-known actor.
Simons joins a growing number of women who have recently accused Seagal of s**ual assault and misconduct.
In an interview with The Wrap, Simons revealed that she was raped by Seagal at a wrap party for the movie held at his Beverly Hills home in 1993.
She recalled arriving at Seagal’s house only to discover that she was the sole attendee.
At the time, Simons was just 18 years old.
Simons described how Seagal took her into a room, closed the door, and began kissing her.
Before she knew it, he had removed her clothes and was on top of her, raping her.
Simons explained that she was not s**ually active at the time and felt completely caught off guard.
She also mentioned that people often talk about fight-or-flight responses but rarely mention the possibility of freezing in such situations.
While other women have accused Seagal of s**ual misconduct, Simons is the first to accuse him of rape.
She emphasized that during the incident, she was crying and felt no love or consent in the encounter.
Now, as a 43-year-old, Simons has a better understanding of what a loving relationship and consensual s** entail, and she is certain that this incident did not align with either.
Simons shared that the alleged rape profoundly affected her acting career.
She returned to her hometown in Utah before eventually coming back to Los Angeles, where she now works as a case advocate for Native-American families.
In November, Dutch model Faviola Dadis took to Instagram to share her own experience of being s**ually assaulted by Seagal during an audition in 2002.
Dadis recounted how Seagal asked her to strip and walk for him in a bikini before attempting to act out a romantic scene.
When she expressed hesitation, Seagal proceeded to fondle her bre-sts and grab her crotch.
Dadis immediately ended the audition but was initially blocked by Seagal’s security before managing to leave.
Dadis decided to speak up after actress Portia de Rossi detailed an uncomfortable encounter with Seagal during an office audition.
De Rossi claimed that Seagal had unzipped his leather pants in front of her in his office.
Both Dadis and Simons reported their incidents to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in December.
The LAPD detective working on their cases declined to comment due to confidentiality.
However, another LAPD spokesperson confirmed that a separate case from 2005 involving Seagal is currently under investigation.
In addition to de Rossi, Margulies, McCarthy, Heigel, and Guerrero have also accused Seagal of harassment and misconduct.
McCarthy revealed in an interview with the Daily Beast that Seagal demanded she strip during an audition for the film “Under Siege 2” in 1998.
Seagal’s spokesperson denied McCarthy’s claims, stating that she never auditioned for the role.
According to The Wrap, Seagal is currently traveling in Asia and Russia.
The ongoing accusations against him have sparked significant controversy and raised questions about accountability within the entertainment industry.
