Despite her criticisms, she also found his off-set personality endearing due to his social awkwardness.

Bay, however, claimed to have moved on from the incident and was not hurt by Fox's remarks.

He understood that getting a reaction out of people was something she enjoyed, but believed she went about it the wrong way.

He expressed his apologies for making her work long hours and for expecting punctuality, stating that the movie-making process is not always pleasant.

, Fox's co-star in the Transformers movies, defended Bay against her criticisms.

He believed that Fox became uncomfortable with the way Bay portrayed women in his films, which catered to a youthful audience.

The Transformers franchise eventually underwent two reboots, with Bay directing five films before passing the baton to Travis Knight for the prequel film Bumblebee.
