The Almost Forgotten Tale of Tiffani Thiessen's Audition for Rachel Green on Friends
In a recent interview on Nikki Glaser's SiriusXM show, Tiffani Thiessen, known for her role in Saved by the Bell, shared a surprising revelation.
She disclosed that she had auditioned for the iconic role of Rachel Green on the hit TV show Friends, before Jennifer Aniston ultimately landed the part.
Thiessen, with a hint of nostalgia, mentioned, “Did you know I tested for Friends, for Jennifer Aniston?”
However, despite her efforts, she fell short of securing the role due to her age.
At the time, Thiessen was just 20 years old, which made her appear too young when compared to the rest of the cast.
Acknowledging her age difference, Thiessen explained, “I was just a little too young.
I was a little too young to be paired with the rest of them.”
In contrast, Aniston, who eventually portrayed Rachel Green, was 25 years old and the youngest member of the ensemble.
