Tiger Woods: A Journey of Triumph and Turmoil

Returning to the site of his 2002 US Open victory, is back at the Bethpage Black Course for the 2019 PGA Championship.

With fans eagerly waiting in New York, the world No.

6 has been showcasing solid form in practice rounds.

This year, PGA officials strategically moved the championship to May from August to avoid overlapping with the NFL season, providing a more compact schedule for golf's top players.

Woods' remarkable comeback last year in Atlanta, where he secured his 80th PGA Tour title at the Tour Championship, marked a significant milestone in his career.

Prior to this achievement, the renowned golfer had faced a challenging period, ranked a surprising 1,199 in the world and recuperating from multiple back surgeries.

This win symbolized a resurgence for Woods amidst a decade filled with ups and downs, propelled by his well-documented personal struggles.

Elin Nordegren, ' first wife, originally from Sweden and working as a nanny and former model, crossed paths with Woods during the 2001 Open Championship.

Their relationship blossomed, leading to a grand wedding ceremony in Barbados in 2004 after three years together.

However, their marital bliss was short-lived, as Nordegren uncovered Woods' infidelity through a cleverly devised plan involving a fabricated text message to one of his paramours.

The fallout from Woods' extramarital affairs cast a shadow over his illustrious career, tarnishing his image as one of the wealthiest golfers globally.

The nadir came with a harrowing car accident outside a neighbor's home, where Woods had to be rescued by Nordegren before being rushed to the hospital.

Speculations in the tabloids insinuated a tumultuous personal life for Woods, with reports alleging his involvement with a staggering 120 women during his marriage to Nordegren.

Following these revelations, Nordegren filed for divorce in 2010, reaching a settlement that reportedly amounted to £72 million in losses for Woods.

As part of his redemption journey, Woods disclosed the details of his indiscretions, seeking treatment for s=x addiction and undergoing therapy to make amends for his behavior, which included lavish spending on escorts while competing at the pinnacle of his sport.

Parnevik, a fellow PGA Tour champion, condemned Woods' actions sharply when news of his unfaithfulness became public knowledge.
