Wendy Williams Reveals Hiring a Private Investigator to Monitor Ex-Husband Kevin Hunter
In a recent interview with E!
News’ Daily Pop, Wendy Williams opened up about her tumultuous relationship with her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter.
The TV personality admitted to hiring a private investigator due to her suspicions of his infidelity.
Williams shared that the private investigator had followed Hunter and his mistress during their vacation.
She also revealed that the investigator had tracked the mistress to her gynecologist appointments and ultimately discovered her pregnancy, which was later confirmed in a 2019 interview with The New York Times.
After being married for over two decades, Williams filed for divorce from Hunter in April 2019.
Their union produced a 20-year-old son named Kevin Jr.
Following the split, Williams severed all professional ties with Hunter.
He was removed as the executive producer of The Wendy Williams Show, and the couple’s non-profit organization, The Hunter Foundation, was dissolved.
While Hunter has not publicly acknowledged his extramarital affairs or fathering a child outside of their marriage, he did release a statement to PEOPLE after the divorce filing, expressing his lack of pride in his actions.
During another recent interview on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, Williams referred to Hunter as a “serial” cheater and claimed that she had been aware of his infidelity since the early days of their 25-year relationship.
Despite the challenges they faced, Williams stated that she does not regret meeting him or enduring their long-term partnership.
She emphasized that her sentiments were not influenced by the revelation of Hunter’s affair and the birth of his child.
According to her, she had known about the other woman’s existence almost from the beginning and was well aware of Hunter’s history as a repeat cheater.
The story of Hunter and Williams’ relationship will be explored in Wendy Williams: The Movie, a biopic set to premiere on Lifetime.
The film will be followed by the documentary Wendy Williams: What a Mess, providing viewers with further insights into their tumultuous journey.
Don’t miss the premiere of Wendy Williams: The Movie on Saturday at 8 p.m.
