Tom Cruise, the renowned actor, caused a stir when he recently emerged with what appeared to be a completely different face.
The 59-year-old was seen looking unusually puffy while attending the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants game with his 26-year-old son, Connor Cruise.
The transformation was so striking that many fans had difficulty recognizing the Top Gun star when he appeared on the Jumbotron during the MLB rivalry face-off last Saturday.
RadarOnline.com spoke with two plastic surgeons who offered their professional opinions on what might have caused Cruise's drastic change in appearance.
Although neither doctor has personally worked on Cruise, they are highly respected experts in their field and possess valuable insights.
According to Dr. Pam Agullo, it is possible that Cruise's altered appearance is a result of “filler abuse.”
She expressed her surprise at witnessing such a dramatic change in someone who had maintained such a youthful look for a significant period of time.
Dr. Agullo also speculated that Cruise may have gained weight, contributing to the overall transformation.
Dr. Agullo further explains that under inexperienced hands, fillers can actually make a person look older.
While she only examined the actor up close, she believes it would be interesting to see if the rest of his body also reflects any weight gain.
Additionally, Dr. Agullo notes that Cruise appears to be experiencing hair thinning and suggests that treatments such as microneedling or radio frequency procedures could benefit his skin by tightening it and stimulating collagen production.
She advises Cruise to promptly adopt an aggressive anti-aging approach.
Another plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Agullo, known as Dr. Worldwide, concurs with Dr. Agullo's assessment.
He acknowledges Cruise's usual ability to defy aging but comments on the apparent increase in facial weight and excessive use of fillers in the cheeks.
Dr. Worldwide also highlights the presence of excess upper eyelid skin and wrinkles around the eyes, which could be addressed through a blepharoplasty and skin tightening.
In addition, he points out the emergence of jowls and loose neck skin, suggesting that skin tightening or a lower facelift could help improve these areas.
It is important to note that these opinions are solely based on observations made from photographs and not on personal consultations with Tom Cruise.
Nevertheless, their insights shed light on the potential procedures that may have contributed to Cruise's changed appearance.
As fans and experts alike analyze his transformation, it remains to be seen whether the actor will address the speculation surrounding his new look.
