Wood Accuses Marilyn Manson of Rape and Torture During Relationship

Evan Rachel Wood, in response to a lawsuit filed by Marilyn Manson, has alleged that he raped and tortured her during their relationship.

Manson's lawsuit claims that Wood and her on-again, off-again partner, Ashley Gore, falsely portrayed him as a rapist and abuser, resulting in damage to his career in music, TV, and film.

Wood's attorneys have filed court papers seeking the dismissal of certain portions of Manson's complaint based on First Amendment grounds.

A hearing on Wood's motion is scheduled for December 13 before Judge Teresa A. Beaudet.

In 2021, Wood posted on Instagram, stating that Manson had horrifically abused her for years.

She mentioned being brainwashed and manipulated into submission and expressed her determination to expose Manson and the industries that enabled him.

Wood stated that she stands with the many victims who refuse to stay silent.

Wood, in a sworn declaration, challenges Manson's allegations in the lawsuit.

She describes how their relationship began as a friendship during a professional collaboration on the film “Phantasmagoria.”

Wood was 18 years old at the time, while Manson was 37.

They entered into a romantic relationship that lasted until 2010, during which they faced intense media scrutiny.

According to Wood, the relationship became increasingly abusive over time.

She accuses Manson of raping her, torturing her, tying her up, beating her, starving her, depriving her of sleep, and subjecting her to electric shocks.

Wood also claims that Manson isolated her from her loved ones, hacked into her personal accounts, and threatened her life and the lives of her friends and family.

Wood asserts that her statements about the abuse inflicted by Manson are true and expresses her belief in the accusations made by other survivors.

Manson's lawsuit argues that the false s**ual abuse allegations led to his record label and manager dropping him, as well as losing his role in the TV show “American Gods.”

The lawsuit also accuses Ashley Gore of defamation, alleging that she made false claims about Manson's short film “Groupie” depicting child abuse and child pornography.

Gore allegedly had conversations with prospective accusers, spreading misinformation about the film.

The suit claims that Gore knew her statements were false or acted with reckless disregard for their truthfulness.

Manson's suit suggests that Wood only accused him of abuse after meeting Gore, who saw an opportunity to benefit from a coordinated attack on Manson.

The suit alleges that Wood and Gore created a fake letter from an FBI agent to create the impression that Manson's alleged victims and their families were in danger.

They also provided checklists and scripts to potential accusers, instructing them on specific acts of abuse to claim against Manson.
